What happens when you call M.…
Imagine, a large shopping centre is burnt down. The damage is devastating. John knows that his colleague Dave knows more about it. John would like to report this to the police, but he doesn't want to leave himself open. So, he chooses to report via M.
Imagine, a large shopping centre is burnt down. The damage is devastating. John knows that his colleague Dave knows more about it. John would like to report this to the police, but he doesn't want to leave himself open. So, he chooses to report via M.
John calls 0800 - 7000 and is connected to one of M.' s call operators.
The call operator wants to know as much information as possible on Dave and the fire. These are some of the questions that may be asked:
- Who is involved?
- What has happened?
- Where did it happen?
- When did it happen?
- How did it happen?
If John's report provides sufficient leads, the M. call operator will note down the information and pass it on — protected — to the police as well as, in this case, the fraud department of the Federation of Insurers.
Both parties will process the information and add it to the information that has already been obtained on Dave and the fire. Then, they will decide what to do next.
Remember: you cannot officially report to the police via M.
